Well there are some notable differences! Buggy ACTS like a low-level pirate, both by choice and by disposition. He's a lot more petty than Shanks and a LOT weaker lol. He does have a remarkable charisma roll though so he's able to get a certain ilk of pirate to follow his every word lol.

The plotarmor he has is bigger that luffy's but when it comes to luffy there's actually an explanation as to why he survived every battle thus far but when it comes to blackbeard its always just some bullshit with no good explanation whatsoever

People call Blackbeard a real pirate since he's cunning, opportunistic and brutal to the core.

The worst thing is that he doesnt have any remorse or sense of honor in him and because of that he cheats in the most anger inducing ways possible.

There's truth in your words. However, that makes him the perfect pirate except for the plot armor thing. First of all, pirates are supposed to be vile, ruthless, and a piece of shit. Pirates in conventional thinking obviously doesn't have any sense of remorse. They don't care about sense of honor or whatsoever because they gain their reputation in doing evil things like cheating, killing, and treachery.
It's just that pirates like Roger, Whitebeard, and Luffy are built different. They're kind. That's why everywhere they go there's a misunderstanding at first because people inadvertently think they're bad people.
